TuneBat is a free, browser-based music database and audio-analysis tool. It answers one question extremely well: what is actually going on inside this track, musically and numerically? Search any title and you get a compact readout — the key in standard notation, the same key translated into Camelot notation, the tempo in beats per minute, and a set of scores describing the character of the record.
Every recording has properties you cannot read off the cover. It sits in a key. It moves at a tempo. It carries a certain weight and brightness. Musicians have always worked these out by ear, which is a skill worth having and a slow way to get through a crate of two hundred records before a Friday night.

Musical positivity, sometimes called valence. High scores sound bright or euphoric; low scores sound sombre or tense.
Average loudness across the whole track — a quick read on how heavily it was compressed and mastered.
How much attention the track is getting right now, relative to everything else in the catalog.
Camelot notation exists to spare you from doing key theory in a dark room at one in the morning.
Every key gets a code: a number from 1 to 12, and a letter. A means minor, B means major. The numbers sit around a wheel so that neighbours are close musical relatives rather than arbitrary steps.

Yes. Looking up a song and reading its key, BPM and audio metrics works straight from the browser, with nothing to install and no account needed for basic lookups.
They are algorithmic estimates, and for steady four-to-the-floor pop, dance and hip-hop they are dependable. Two failure modes are worth knowing. Tempo is sometimes reported at half or double what you would count, and key detection can land on the relative major or minor instead of the true one — those two keys share the same notes, so they are genuinely easy to confuse. Treat the reading as a strong first guess and let your ears settle any argument.

The number is a position on a twelve-point wheel and the letter is the mode: A for minor, B for major. So 8A is A minor. Anything sharing that number, or sitting one number either side with the same letter, will generally mix without clashing.
